Why is it that kids can now leave school at 16 and not be able to either tie the shoelaces read the time, read a book or do simple maths. It seems strange but it’s perfectly true as I see many weekly that are in this state of lethargy where they don’t give the toss about anything or anyone and expects everything to be either done for them or they should get it from the government. Unfortunately the government that we have currently supports this and doesn’t seem interested to do anything about it. People need to stand up and do something about this before it gets 10 times. Worse. Kids today can’t even be employed in a shop or a market stall let alone complex trades and skills like engineering. The fault lies in two areas. Number one the parents for pandering to their whims and number two the government the lack of interest in skills and stem subjects. If this is not rectified soon, we will have a second lost generation and that will probably be beyond recovery. Sadly this is happening in multiple countries across Europe, America, Africa and in Britain itself. It’s about time the government got off its backside and did something or resign and let somebody take over that has both the interest and the ability to make a difference.
